What is NSIC (National small industries corporation) & How can it benefit you?

 

One of the projects of Government of India is National Small Industries Corporation which comes under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). NSIC has worked to endorse aid and foster the growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the country. NSIC offers incorporated support services in Marketing, Technology, Finance and other support services.

·         SINGLE POINT REGISTRATION the Indian government is a major buyer of the goods. To participate in Government purchase government has given responsibility to NSIC to register micro and small businesses (MSE) under single point registration (SPRS) so they can participate in government purchases. Units registered under the Single Point Registration Program can reap the benefits of the "Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) Order 2012.

·         ADVANTAGES OF REGISTRATION Registered units will receive the following benefits:  Free issue of Tender Sets; Exemption from payment of the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD); Participating MSE offers quoting the price within the price range of L1 + 15% will also be allowed to supply a portion of up to 25% of the requirement by reducing their price to Price L1 where L1 is not MSE.  All Ministries / Departments / Central PSUs will set an annual target of at least 25% of the total annual purchases of products or services produced or rendered by MSEs. Of the 25% annual supply requirement from MSE, 4% is for units owned by Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribes and 3% is for units owned by women entrepreneurs.

·         358 items are reserved for exclusive purchase from SSI Sector ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA √ All micro and small businesses with EM Part-II (optional) / Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) are eligible for registration with NSIC.

·         For start-ups, micro and small businesses that have already started their commercial production but have not completed a year of existence. In such a situation, the provisional registration certificate can be issued to such micro and small enterprises which will be valid for the period of one year.

Traders are not entitled for registration under this scheme. PERIOD OF VALIDITY OF THE SINGLE POINT ENROLLMENT The registration certificate granted to Micro & Small Enterprise under the Single Point Registration Scheme (Revised), 2003 is valid for two years.  The provisional registration certificate will be applicable for a period of one year.
